A closer look at Plane of Time - 03-01-2004 11:38 PM - by Herrc
It's a numbers game. If you want to succeed in this game you must pay attention to details and part of those details require looking at the numbers. Sometimes those numbers do not work in your favor until you figure out the equasion that best suits your needs. This along with grouping a certain class here, moving a couple people over there, and making the right mix for success is often the difference between winning and losing. It also helps when your raid damage can hit over 6000 dps, with much upgrading that still needs to be done. I admire the people running this guild because to them there is always a way to win. We are perhaps one of the least equiped Plane of Time enabled guilds but that has not stopped us from moving forward, perhaps at our own pace, but moving forward non the less.
Plane of Time includes a series of stages that must be completed within a certain timeframe. Stage 1 consists of 5 trials with an 18 player limit on each that vary in difficulty somewhat and all drop a pretty nice piece of loot. Like any new encounter they will likely beat you down at first until you find out what is going on. Although, once you know what your doing, the first stage becomes very easy.
The second stage is a joke in terms of challenge, but hey, it's nice to be able to collect some quick loot once in awhile. Here you basically clear some trash and kill off a couple named mobs and collect your easy earnings.
Stage 3 ups the challenge a little and forces you to clear several waves of trash with a bunch of named mixed in, which sometimes drop loot, like good loot, like elemental leggings loot, like how about at least 2 elemental legging molds each time we clear this stage? This doesn't even included the 2 named at the end of the plow. Yea, the loot in this zone is seriously no joke and it's nice to see our time put into this expansion being paid off in a big way.
Stages 1-3 are the quick rewards you get for getting into Plane of Time and things look pretty easy, that is until you hit stage 4. This is where the zone truly begins with the first set of 4 gods in the form of Tallon and Vallon Zek along with Saryrn and Terris Thule. These guys and gals pack some serious end game punch into their challenge compared to their predecesors, but hey, that's what we're here for!

Learning Stage 4 is not an easy task with a raid attendance of about 55, but after a few tweaks we were able to take Terris out.
Here are the goods she gave us: Vanazir, Dreamer's Despair x2 Armguards of the Brute
Here is some Stage 1 action from the Rock trial.
