A poke in The Eye - 06-24-2007 11:56 PM - by RD

This week Agony poked its self in The Eye. Yup that about explains it. First time in the zone we learned what takes CC, how mobs move, and went to take a peek at the loot vending machine. Second day in Tempest Keep, we plowed to The Void Reaver and managed to knock him down to 22% on our first night of trying him. He dies when we return next!

This coming week we plan to go fishing! See ya then.

Recruitment is still open for a few classes. If you wanna try out for the Agony team, click here to learn more.

Blizzard bows to Agony's will! - 06-19-2007 1:06 PM - by RD

Two weeks ago Agony set its sights on 25 man content. Like many large hardcore raiding guilds, we had our struggles and trials. We lost a lot of friends along the way while we adjusted. Let’s face it, TBC is a guild leader and officer’s worst nightmare come true.

We welcome the following changes taken from the World of Warcraft forums:

quote:
After a lot of thought and deliberation, we’ve decided to remove the attunement requirements to enter Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep: The Eye. While many of our attunements in the Burning Crusade have been good progression checks, a few of the attunements have turned out to cause unnecessary stress on guilds either doing the content or attempting to do the content. With Black Temple and Battle for Mount Hyjal thriving, we want to encourage (rather than prevent) new guilds and raid groups to attempt Serpentshrine and TK. We are going to leave the current attunement quests in the game so that players can still engage in the challenge and the lore of those quests should they choose to. At a later point, we are considering adding a final reward step to those quests as well (that way those who have already completed them would not miss out on a *new* reward).

We’re listening to feedback from you guys constantly and your opinions are important to us. We want this game to be the best possible MMO experience for our players.

Enjoy Serpentshrine and Tempest Keep =)

So now that many of our members have finished attunements to the next step in raiding, Blizzard gives in to Agony’s will and opens the flood gates. In all seriousness though, this is a step in the right direction. See you in Serpentshrine and Tempest Keep.

P.S. V called this one before the expansion hit, clearly Blizz needs to listen to V sooner.

Gruul takes a dirt nap - 06-14-2007 8:50 PM - by RD

When The Burning Crusade first came out and we all were 70, we went to go hang out with Gruul hearing that he was a hip kinda dood. Turns out we didn't have the proper attire for the event and hadn't been back since.

Well last week we decided to see if he would be a little bit friendlier to his new guests. His friends offered us some loot and this week he gave us his as well. Such a swell guy.

I think we wore him out. Oh well on to the next party!

Time to wake up Agony, softcore days are over! - 06-14-2007 5:35 PM - by RD

Agony has been a little softcore the past couple months while clearing Karazhan however, those days are over. It's time for us to march onward. Agony's focus is now fully on 25 man content.

Agony is currently seeking new recruits as we turn our focus towards 25 man content. We have a few open spots. If you feel you've got what it takes to be a part of Agony, please click here to find out more.

P.S. Gruul got pwned, screenies and more info coming!
