Just saw it tonight. It was good... but I don't know about "the best Harry Potter movie yet" stuff. All the other movies felt fairly self-contained. Sure, you wouldn't know all the characters and might not get all the jokes and references if you hadn't read the books or seen any of the other movies,...

I worked with a guy that was sitting at a stop light when a woman gabbing on her cell phone in a Suburban ran into him going about 45. He came out of it with numerous broken bones and soft tissue injuries. The real tragedy was that the woman's 5 year old son who was sitting in the front passenger se...

The first season of Heroes was totally badass. Everything I've heard and seen from the second and third season make me want to not watch it lest I become disgusted with the series in general. Heroes is to TV as The Matrix and Highlander were to movies... everything after the first isn't worth watchi...

Heh... very cool, and pretty well done. But fake. Don't read further if you want to maintain the illusion. First, I've never been in an office building where individual light switches were controlled from a central location, which is what would be needed for that to work. Plus, all the lights in the...

First off, Obama is not a Liberal, or even a Progressive. He's a Centrist. Now myself, as a fairly liberal and progressive leaning person, would rather have Dennis Kucinich as president, but that won't happen... at least not this year. So what do I like about Obama? I've listened to him, and read Th...

Should of done better 2 on 1, but I don't know how to play feral. Cobaro keeps telling me I need to push more then 1 button, but all my buttons say "Mangle" on them. 1) Bind Mangle, Lacerate, Maul, and Swipe to every key on your keyboard in a random distribution. 2) Roll face on keyboard. 3) ??? 4)...

Ahh, what a pure gem of folksy rural wisdom:

"A poor person votin' fer McCain is kinda like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders".

I really feel however, my animosity grew exponentially over this bailout. I cannot believe we allowed it to happen. I cannot believe we are allowing a Lehman Bros. executive to oversee the spending of this bloated bullshit bill. This completely illegal, pseudo fascist, pseudo socialist raping of ou...

I've been stung by a pretty large variety of critters in my time, and I'd agree with that professor except for the yellow jackets... I'd rate them significantly higher than honey bees, but not quite as bad as wasps. Honey bees aren't really that bad, because sure, the sting hurts, but it's only one....
