yea I read about that in the paper. Insane. I also read that Seinfeld made Richards publicly apologize. It's almost hard to watch a dude flip out like that.

The political blogs have been abuzz about this whole event. I found it weird that Seinfeld did the rounds of the talk show circuit to offer up apologies for Richards.

When I watched the clip, I saw a man come unhinged. It looked like he was saying whatever he felt would most offend them, as if he were trying to get them as angry as he was. So yeah, maybe he's a racist but I am convinced if they had been asian or arab or any other easily classifiable group he would have been saying the most vile and offensive things to rile them up.

Michael Richards is a moron and I hereby revoke the "one redeeming character" status his Kramer had held from that mind numbing borefest Seinfeld.

yea that was crazy. but i'd guess its really tough to have to deal with hecklers and all that stuff while on stage and he just couldn't handle it and flipped out. If it were anyone less famous no one would have even cared either. He says hes not racist and that he just kind of flipped out.

That so-called apology on Letterman was a total bullshit PR move. I watched a clip of it and it just felt so fake.

It gets even worse off for him if you click the link for his half-assed appology on the Letterman show. He starts going off on tangents like katrina and the war... wtf?

He is getting a lot more publicity now however... even negetive, it's rocketed him into the lime light.
I'd be interested to see the follow-up on this and how he handles it. If he just slides away from the scene in shame or starts getting a ton of talk show spots, publishes a book, a reality tv show etc. He can bounce right back with the filth our media promotes. Gotta <3 America.

Yup, hes hitting the black folks with a "double-whammy". First he apologizes, then he tries to relate to them by going on about Kartina. I'm surprised he didn't go for extra points by hating on Bush too.

eh, i never liked michael richards, i also watched his apology clip afterards adn he jsut seems like scared little monkey trying to make amends before he gets his ass beat the fuck up.

Everything I've seen from him solo has been a horrible flop. I guess he really is one dimensional. Even when he was just being himself on guest apperances and whatnot I wasn't impressed. I did like Seinfeld though.

Obviously he IS a rasist with how far he took it. I doubt he will get anyone to his stand up performances unless they are racist as well.
