Looks pretty good but the sign up link is either broken or they took it down.

hrm, well it looks call, but far too futuristic to be a D3 type. appears to be much more of a shoot 'em up - smash 'em up approach akin to Doom or whatever. if any of you try the beta make sure to post your thoughts. =D

supposedly, blizzard is making a D3, which I could surely play. who knows when, though, with SC2 coming out soon. warhammer online certainly looks promising, but I'd like to see something along the lines of a WoW meets Diablo2 approach. or even an eq2 makeup with WoW playstyle.

The game is awesome. I think it's really similar to diablo 2. It goes like this; there are stations/safe zones that you can go to for selling, buying, upgrading, quests, and so on. Each station has a transporter (Waypoints!!) that you can use to teleport between stations you've already been to. Each time you enter a zone or area outside of the station, you in theory create your own game (sounding more like d2 now?). When you are in a group and clearing out zones, all drops are personal. When i say personal, I mean that when a mob dies and drops loot, each person is given their own items. This eliminates the loot whoring factor and allows each person to progress equally. Therefore, stations being the chat channel but having way more things to do while there, and entering zones being someone creating a game, is pretty much what diablo 2 is.
I really like the game so far and encourage you to atleast download the demo and try it out. You can only go to level 5 in the demo but you can still go kill shit after that for loots. I play an Evoker (dmg caster) and i absolutely love it. It's worth the time to atleast try out the free demo. Just type in "Hellgate: London demo" in any search engine or go to www.Hellgatelondon.com and download the free demo there.
Enjoy!

sounds more like a Guild Wars setup...

World of Diablo would be nice.

Yea, Mythos is made by the same company that Hellgate: London was made by, Flagship Studios.
Looks pretty epic.

I played the demo and while it was pretty I had gripes: 1. the dynamically created dungeons were all identical (at least in the demo) and I was bored before I had even finished the tiny demo. 2. Basically this game looks like a prettier version of CoH/CoV with sci-fi instead of super powers.

They needed to make a longer demo if they wanted to convince me to buy the game.
