If you get a call from 973-643-8524 (registered to one 267 Michael Loperena of 267 Orange St, Newark, NJ 07103), don't answer it. Or, optionally, report it to the FTC.

It's a call that sounds all scary about how it's your "final notice" to get your "car warranty renewed"...

I was bored, so I pressed the number to talk to a "sales representative", and the lady on the phone stressed repeatedly that if I didn't sign up for the service on the phone right now, my "file" would be deleted and it would cost more to get the service in the future.

When I asked for written documentation instead completing a transaction on the phone, she hung up. Heh.

Just figured I'd give people a heads up. There have been reports to that number and scam calling people on cell phones, home phones, and I just got the call at my work number...

No worries. I just saved 15% on my car insurance by beating my supplier with a golf club =D

We've been getting these calls for months. I finally asked them to take me off their list and they politely read me some script and said it would take a few weeks to kick in.

I wonder if some are legit and some are scams?
