You know, I had the same type of problem with my father when I was a little younger. Of course, I didn't pay the bills, so you have a little more leverage than I did.
Surprisingly...I did what doom suggested. I asked him if he'd rather have me at home or out at parties smoking pot and drinking, and then driving home drunk because I had a 12 o'clock curfew. My dad said, "Fine! You can stay out later!" haha
I think what it comes down to is that parents don't want their kids to be anti-social. When they see you sitting there for hours on end...it scares them. One good thing to do to prove to them that you aren't a paranoid anti-social threat to society is spend some time with them. Go out to dinner, talk to them, watch tv with them. Spending time with your parents reassures them that the game is not the most important thing in your life...just something you do with your free time.
