Anyone play Project 1999?

Postby Gonz » Tue Apr 20, 2010 9:18 am

Life is boring, I'm gonna check this out tonight. If anyone plays this or wants to try it with me, let me know!

I am playing a wizard named gonzo. It is pretty fun, there are a ton of people doing random dungeons that I totally forgot about. Unrest is like packed with people insta-killing everything. Funny shit!

So the population is pretty large? I might have to come hang out!
My friend in Australia really wants to get a new boomerang, but he just can't seem to throw the old one away.

I have it all installed and fixed up... yet when I click on it to log in it loads up the program to a black screen.

I see the arrow.. and I can move it. I can right click on the middle of the black screen and it makes it a 4 way arrow. I cannot however see any of the graphics. What am I doing wrong?

No clue, did you follow all of the directions to the t?

As for the legality of it, they claim that since you don't have to pay for it, and the EULA of everquest is not a legal document. Basicly what you are doing is a bannable offense but who cares if you get banned on EQ at this point?!

I followed it. I double checked everything. I think if I had done something wrong it would not allow me to get where I am. It seems that the screen is simply not rendering the back ground image. Perhaps it is a video card issue..

Just so everybody knows, this is so many dimensions of wrong it's laughable. You don't have to be paying a company to cause fiscal damage. Saying "the EULA isn't a legal document" doesn't make it true - it can be challenged, but that doesn't make it not exist. And on and on - it's hilarious the justification people use for this shit.

That being said, nobody is going to go after the *players* on something like this. Just (if they care) make life hard for the organizers.
