I was playing the DC Universe beta for a month or so. The game is very beautiful for an MMO and puts CoH and Champions to shame for graphics and movement powers. It's a lot of fun at first as you work through quests with the aid of big name DC heroes. Where it suffers is the ability to customize the initial look of your hero. With just 3 options for the size and shape of your character, most people kinda look like each other. Champions on the other hand gives you options to change pretty much every aspect of your appearance (would you like a really big nose or maybe a tiny head? Champions has your back).

The beta was fun but I wouldn't have bought/subscribed to the game unless I was going with a group of friends.

I've been playing some dead space 2 lately, it's visually amazing and i've jumped a few times playing it, good amount of tension/suspense.

Also been doing some dragon age origins refresher since the sequel is gonna come out next month.

I'll probably pick up the old Dragon Age once I am done with Mass Effect 2. I don't know how I ever got along without Steam!

Before I left for Iraq I picked up some old favorites. Warcraft 3, Starcraft, Diablo 1/2, Oblivion, NWN2, those have been enough to keep me busy when I get free time.

Also checking out EQ progression server on Vu'lak-something, it's pre-kunark right now and about a week old. Got a barb rog named Feiv to 23 already jus doin the nostalgia thing.

Have tried many mmo's after I quit wow to try and fill the void looking for that "hook". Hope you all find yours. Ash says Hi, she plays wow still on ally side of akama. Aloha Agony.

Nostalgia......just thinking of EQ makes me itch a little to play again.

Ill be heading back out to HI in 2015 to do some work with VpU if your still out there. Talk to Denver at all lately?

I got the EQ mail too. I imagine it's a script that does something like "hey, these idiots had playtimes measured in months or years, let's see if we can hook them again."
