Sorry slow response.
The game has a sideways leveling system. Gear is basically all the same regardless of level. You 'level' your specific gun skills and get better at that type with extra reload %, crit etc.
Weapons have separate xp bars and once you max them in kills you can't get better at that type... so you have to trash/sell it and find another.
Green, Blue, Purple, Orange color on gear is marginal difference, if any.
Incentive system is a bit obscure with the plans they have such as micro-transactions and random loot drops.
There are a number of release issues as expected with MMO's.
Patches need to go through the validation processes of Sony and Microsoft for the consoles... this process is a bitch.
Gameplay... great concept so far. Over the shoulder Borderlands.
The map could be bigger. Once the main quest line is done attrition issues arise.
Random world events are the "endgame" content right now.
There are no rewards in co-op dungeons when you kill a boss.
Like I said, incentive issues.
The PVE care-bear auto-aim is a bit insulting. This is turned off for pvp.
Enemy AI behaves in a reactive manner which is a little unrealistic... such as once aggro is established they can auto target you from poking your head around a corner. This doesn't take away from the challenge or add to it.
Overall, I think I'm done until the patch.
Show is good so far though.
